Kaya and Hiya! We’ve got some very exciting news for you.

We’re painting the town tartan as Albany International Folk ‘n’ Shanty Festival takes on a Scottish theme for 2025! From traditional and contemporary music, to blistering sessions and wild ceilidh’s (dances), ALBAny becomes a hot bed of Scottish culture alongside our celebrated program of great folk and shanty music.

So get kilted up and brace yourselves for a raucous celebration of all things Scottish!

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

From fireside folk sessions and concerts, to full blown pub shanty singing, from tales of pirates, whales and shipwrecks; Albany International Folk ‘n’ Shanty Festival turns the city’s historic centre into a playground of maritime culture. Set on the shores of the majestic waters of Mamang Koort (Heart of the Whale), join us for this annual festival that celebrates the heart and soul of Albany/ Kinjarling.
