Based in Walyalup (Fremantle), Dave Robertson crafts thoughtful, disarmingly literal songs that balance wit with deep sincerity. Backed by The Kiss List—featuring Rachel Armstrong (violin/mandolin), Rob Findlay (electric guitar), and Tore Pedersen (bass)—the group’s sound sits comfortably in the indie folk/pop genre, with plenty of rich vocal harmonies. A seasoned storyteller, Dave has graced the stages of the Nannup and Fremantle festivals and has twice served as a judge for the WAM Song of the Year. Influences include Ani Difranco, Paul Kelly, Big Thief, Billy Bragg, Joe Pug, Kathleen Edwards, R.E.M. and Jason Isbell.
