Folk dance has a long history of participation wherever people thrive. International folk dance grew from the melting pot of cultures in the 20th century and collects together a wonderful variety of music and dance for all to join in with - young and old and everyone in between! Experienced dance teacher Palenque will lead you in a range of easy dances from across Europe and the Middle East, ranging from the gentle to the energetic. Palenque runs International Dance Albany who are a member group of the Perth International Folk Dance Group. Last Five Coins and friends have been providing music for folk dancing for many years in Perth. This Multicultural Bushdance sees them return to Albany for the Bicentenary bringing their skill in eclectic folk music of Europe, and traditional instruments.
