We’re a women’s shanty band with one boot in tradition, and the other firmly in mischief. Blending sea shanty, folk, and vaudeville, we sing rousing classics alongside original shanties full of story, humour, and heart. Formed just over a year ago, we’ve hauled our instruments and harmonies through the Bunbury Sea Shanty Festival, Busselton’s Oktoberfest and more recently; Race Week celebrations, Christmas events, and we now run a popular monthly shanty night at the Harr Bar in Dunsborough. Expect bold voices, folky instruments, a bad joke or two, playful storytelling, the odd dance step, many smiles, and a healthy dose of joyous, slightly bawdy fun.
