Ciaran O’Sullivan and Ross Hume
Hailing from the scenic counties of Donegal and Antrim and based in Perth, WA, Irish duo Ciaran O’Sullivan and Ross Hume make their debut at this year’s Albany Folk and Shanty Festival, showcasing their rich blend of traditional Irish and folk music.
Ciaran O’Sullivan, with his commanding vocals, brings profound emotional depth to the duo's performances. Having released his debut album ‘Hero’ in 2022, Ciaran is eager to share select tracks from his album.
Ross Hume, an incredibly talented uilleann piper, whistle player, and bagpiper, is a master of his craft. Notably, Ross is an All Ireland solo champion for bagpipes, a testament to his exceptional skill and dedication. His wind instrument prowess complements Ciaran’s vocal strength, creating a harmonious fusion rooted in their Irish heritage.
Together, Ciaran and Ross deliver a powerful musical experience, weaving together the threads of their Irish traditions with global folk influences. Ciaran will also be hosting a singing workshop at 11:30 am at The Albany Club—all ages and abilities are welcome.
