Shamrocks & Shanties (with The Rogues and The Lost Quays)
Shamrocks & Shanties launches this year’s festival with a blast of Irish punk fire and heaving maritime harmony – a perfect collision of two worlds that sets the tone for everything to come.
The Rogues, a powerhouse Pogues tribute outfit, bring the kind of full‑tilt Celtic‑punk energy that turns a wintery Albany evening into a riotous celebration. With driving rhythms, soaring whistles and a set packed with the Pogues’ most beloved songs, they deliver a show built for dancing, singing along, and losing yourself in the moment. They’re lively, loud, and irresistibly fun.
The Lost Quays arrive fresh from sellout shows at Perth’s Boola Bardip and the Adelaide Fringe. This Fremantle‑based nautical vocal crew deliver booming a cappella shanties, reflective sea songs, original pieces. Their performances blend history, humour, and heart with irresistible boot‑stomping rhythm.
Let’s raise the anchor and set sail on this year’s festivities!
